Team

Nathan Joyner is the founder of Sutter's Mill Capital and brings a global perspective to the practice, having worked on international transactions and corporations in China, Europe, Asia, and North America. Mr. Joyner has extensive experience in global technology commercialization, corporate finance, M&A, and strategic advisory. Previous to Sutter's Mill Capital, Mr. Joyner was an investment banker at Pacific Ridge Capital, a middle market investment bank focused on corporate finance and M&A advisory services for both public and private companies. Nathan's strategic consulting and transaction experience include a variety of technology and international deals ranging from M&A and corporate finance to strategic consulting assignments. Projects have included private placements, M&A, and PIPE transactions in various industries  including medical devices, IT services, semiconductors, software, gaming, cleantech, alternative energy, pharmaceuticals, and biotech.

Previous to Pacific Ridge Capital, Mr. Joyner spent 13 years at the Intel Corporation in various technology development and marketing management roles. His work included commercialization and product planning for leading products such as the Intel® 845 Chipset, the Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor, and the Intel® Itanium® 2 Processor. Mr. Joyner has serviced nearly every tier 1 OEM customer in the US, Japan, Taiwan, China, Korea, France and Germany and has taken on global programs to enable PC and server technologies in the marketplace.

Mr. Joyner has served on several non-profit boards including the National Federation of Fly Fishers and the Northern California Council Federation of Fly Fishers. He is currently a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honors Society and the Association for Strategic Planning and a director of the Southern California Venture Network. Mr. Joyner regularly organizes and speaks on panels related in investing, technology, and starting technology based businesses. Mr. Joyner received an MBA from the University of Southern California, where he graduated with honors, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Washington State University.
