Dean Kayes

Mr .Kayes is the Principle of The Law Office of Dean H. Kayes, P.C. which represents a variety of start up and emerging growth clients including venture capital partnerships, private equity groups, technology companies, software development groups, SaaS providers, media distribution & production companies, telecommunications, biotechnology and financial services providers. Mr. Kayes transactional and legal advisory practice specializes in general corporate law, corporate finance, M&A, software & online services licensing, intellectual property including media, trademark and copyright, international financial transactions and deal structuring and general business including contractual and regulatory matters. Mr. Kayes expertise includes business and legal strategic planning, managing legal affairs, business development and alliances, joint ventures, investment and financing strategies, mergers & acquisitions and positioning companies for investment transactions.

Mr Kayes has served in various business development and executive functions primarily in the technology, media, telecommunications, and cleantech sectors. Mr. Kayes has served as Vice President and General Counsel for Starlink Communications, a full service telecommunications provider, Vice President and General Counsel of IDI Media, an electronic media, television production and interactive software company, Vice President and General Counsel for Charitableway, Inc., a software development ASP automating philanthropic operations, General Counsel of Lithium Technologies a SaaS provider of social media technology and services and served on the Board of Directors of Condor Investments, a San Francisco based finance group acquiring and operating Internet and telecommunications companies. Previosly Mr. Kayes practiced law at Haas & Najarian, specializing in corporate and regulatory law, government contracts and complex business and financial litigation. Mr. Kayes also has military experience, having served as Supply Corps Officer in the U.S. Navy, a Contracting Officer with the Defense Logistics Agency and as a Contract Administrator and negotiator for the government research firm of Physics International.

Mr. Kayes graduated from Jacksonville University with a BS degree in business management, earned an MBA in finance from Golden Gate University and obtained a JD degree from the University of San Francisco.
